Migration to SSL

If there is one thing we do not want, it is other people monitoring our porn habits. It doesn't really matter if "other people" are employers, internet providers or governments, porn habits ought to be a private matter.

Because of this we have - experimentally - migrated SpankWiki.org to a secure encrypted new URL:

https://spankwiki.org

Existing URL's from the old unencrypted site, will automatically redirect to the new site, so users shouldn't really notice anything different, except a green cosy lock at the beginning of the URL in the browser window, indicating that the connection is encrypted.

Enjoy your private porn browsing!

If you access a HTTPS/SSL site your ISP can still detect and monitor the IP address of the server you are visiting, but they can NOT detect the exact URL's. Due to the shortage of IP addresses, most servers are hosting a multitude of domains so knowing the IP address alone doesn't really provide much information.
